To be fair “starting the week of april 30th” for shipping is the last day of april no one will receive one in april so that means sometime in may.
It is not illegal for Rachio to charge a credit card before shipment but it is against many credit card issuers rules.
I don’t turn on my sprinklers until Mother’s day, so this will work out perfectly. I do wish there was an option for locals to pick it up though.
