I’ve been having issues with my rachio and have been trying to find a way to reset it back to factory settings. I cannot find any information on this.
The only way to factory reset is to remove the device. Device settings → Delete device.
Note you will need to re-pair (blink-up) the device after removing.

What is reset when the device is deleted and re-activated? Is all the zone setup details also removed?
Yes, this will effectively remove the device along with history, schedules, zones, etc. It will need to be added as a new device.
